Color Story is a monthly yarn subscription featuring six hand-dyed mini skeins, thoughtfully arranged as a palette inspired by each month’s theme.
Each month brings a new chapter told in yarn along the journey, with colors drawn from the locations we pass through. Every palette stands on its own, while also connecting across the year as part of a larger story.
Those familiar with The Lord of the Rings may recognize the path but no prior knowledge is needed to enjoy the colors themselves.
If you miss the cutoff, that’s okay; your subscription will begin with the next chapter.

The important details:
Subscriptions
You will receive six 20g mini skeins each month in the yarn of your choice. They will be dyed in colors with tonal depth, and possibly some very light speckling.
Yarn Options
Ember: fingering weight 75% superwash merino wool and 25% nylon. 92 yards (84m)/20g
Magic: dk weight 100% superwash merino wool. 46 yards (42m)/20g
Payment Information
You will be charged every month on the same date on which you sign up. You can easily skip a month, pause your subscription, or cancel in your subscription dashboard.
Billing and Shipping
Shipping is included in the price of the subscription. Color Story packages ship within the last five days of the month.
To allow time for dyeing and preparation, subscriptions have the following cut-off dates:
Sign up by the 15th of the month to receive that month's Color Story package.
Sign up on the 16th or later and your subscription will begin with the following month.
Example
If you purchase your subscription on January 13th, your first package will ship at the end of January.
If you purchase your subscription on January 24th, your face package will ship at the end of February.
Sorry, but due to the cost of international shipping, Mini Skein Color Story is currently only open to customers in the US. If you are interested in an international subscription please contact me to look into options.
