This week I am going to show you the inspiration behind our six 2018 Christmas movie-inspired colorways. These are currently available in the shop, but won't be dyed again so grab yours now!
34th Street has various shades of gray, with areas of red and white. This colorway, as you may guess, is from Miracle on 34th Street.
"Oh, Christmas isn't just a day. It's a frame of mind."
Nakatomi Christmas Party 1988 is gray, with areas of dark red and orange and some speckling. This one is from Die Hard - image explosions against a dark sky. (Yes, it's a Christmas movie!)
"Welcome to the party, pal!"
Abominable has various shades of icy blue, with white. This abominable snowman is from Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.
"Didn't I ever tell you about Bumbles? Bumbles *bounce*!"
Guide My Sleigh is a dark sky navy blue, with a hint of red for Rudolph's nose. I don't have to tell you the movie, do I?
"What I'm trying to say is, Rudolph, with your nose so bright, won't you guide my sleigh tonight?"
Mt. Crumpet is a bright, grinchy green with speckles of fuchsia and black. Mt. Crumpit is the home of the Grinch in How The Grinch Stole Christmas.
"Then the Grinch thought of something he hadn't before. Maybe Christmas, he thought... doesn't come from a store. Maybe Christmas, perhaps... means a little bit more!"
Finally, we have Gingerbread House which is a gingerbread cookie brown, with a white area covered in yellow, green, and pink sprinkles. This one is kind of cheating because I wanted to dye this color even though I couldn't think of a Christmas movie that had a gingerbread house in it. If you can, let me know!
